Backed by nearly 2 centuries of tradition, four generations of Vermont ownership and the pride of being hand-crafted in the USA, Johnson Woolen Mills is a world-wide source for rugged woolen outer wear for today’s modern lifestyle.
Johnson Woolen Mills modern manufacturing facility is just feet from the original mill, which serves as a reminder to the entire staff of the longevity and commitment to quality Johnson Woolen Mills brings to each product and every customer. Traditional processes still remain at the mill such as, hand cutting, sewing, piecing, serging, and finishing of our traditionally patterned, checked, and plaid clothing lines.
If you find yourself visiting Vermont, be sure to stop by our factory store. You’re sure to enjoy the old hardwood floors, tall ceilings and rustic wood walls lined with woolen outerwear for the whole family.
The history surrounding the mill is almost as important as the history of Vermont. You can almost hear the the stories of old as you walk in the door or you may have just met our ghost. The old store has survived floods, brutal Vermont winters, the great depression and two world wars. It’s hosted dignitaries from around the world, politicians, film stars and sports figures, but the most important folks that walk through our doors are the customers, both local and from afar.
We carry clothing for every lifestyle…modern, work, hunting and retro. Stop in and say hello the next time you’re through Johnson, Vermont.
