I bought this vest about 2 years ago from A.G Russell from an ad. I was looking for a vest at the time and i decided to pick it up and i was not disappointed.
When i got this vest, i was very surprised at it, more impressed with it. I thought the wool was a bit stiff at first, but after wearing it it breaks in and becomes comfortable. The styling of it look great, it’s classic and reminiscent of the time when men were men. I’ve worn this vest under sweaters and jackets when cold winters hit in Michigan and it always done it’s part. The wool is a bit thin, but again it’s not meant to be a sole provider of warmth and comfort. It’s a waistcoat and it’s supposed to be under a heavy coat.
It looks good, and in mild temperatures like the low 60’s and high 50’s is excellent to wear under a wind breaker. Two years later, i still have it and after moving from Michigan to Texas, i don’t have much need for it now, but when it does get “chilly” to the locals, it’s always nice to put on a timeless classic and cool vest that works well with jeans and slacks.
