Love the jacket. Nice light weight yet very warm. Trim fitting. Well done.

I was on the fence whether to order this jacket or the jac shirt. This a great jacket for what its supposed to be but there are a couple things I wish I could change.
First off, this jacket is great for when its in the 50s and 40s. It’s lightweight yet warm. That, combined with its shorter length and simplicity, make it a great all-around jacket. I ordered my jacket in bright red & muted plaid and I really like how it looks. It’s very well made too (I can right a whole review itself about how great Johnson’s craftsmen, quality control, and customer service all are).
With that in mind I think there are two flaws (in my personal opinion) that hold this jacket back from being much better. The first thing I wish was different would be if the whole jacket was lined. Only the back of it is lined and the lining is so nice that I wish the front and the sleeves were also. I think you’d get more use out of it when the temps start dipping a little further.
The second thing I would love to see changed is the size of the cuffs. On my jacket, the cuffs are so wide that I can fit both my wrists into them like a monk. You can kinda see what I mean from the picture. The sleeves fit just fine from the shoulder to the wrist, but that last couple inches stop tapering and go straight out, and what I’ve found is that the slightest breeze will go right up there like a funnel, and considering the sleeve is unlined it is a real nusaince when its chilly. It sounds like a silly thing to get hung up on but when a cold breeze hits your arms over and over again, it’s enough to make me wary about recommending this jacket over something similar like say the jac shirt.
With all that said, I do love this jacket, it’s made so well, and I think its short length and light weight makes it very handy. In my opinion, I think if those two alterations were made this jacket would be perfect.
