It’s not 100% wool!

Beautiful coat, very fast shipping and helpful customer service

Pleased with the Mackinaw coat. I purchased this for use when it’s too cold for a similar but circa 1950s Chippewa wool hunting coat and it serves me well. If any of the following alterations are made in the future I’d buy a second one: enlarging the slash pockets and/or adding pocket space behind the lower pockets, adding brass zippers, dropping the game pouch zippers for buttoned flaps, larger hood, using a nylon type lining inside the sleeves for ease of use with long sleeve wool shirts. I’m grateful Johnson is preserving apparel manufacturing in America and for the excellent customer service I received.

Love this coat. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship, and great customer service too. I highly recommend reaching out if you have questions on the sizing as it was very helpful. The only negative about the coat is the hood. As others have mentioned the size of the hood is odd. It’s almost like the wool at the peak of the hood is pulled together too tightly, which makes it fit very tight. Also,it would be awesome if the collar had a button and strap to connect the two sides together when the collar is up. Regardless, this is an amazing coat that will last a lifetime!

Our son works outside most of the day doing electrical wiring year round in upstate NY & Vermont. He loves this jacket & is comfortable alll day long. We’re very thankful for such a well made amazing product. Thank you!
